The Berlin Career College, the department responsible for creative professional development at the Berlin University of the Arts - one of the world's most renowned art universities - is offering the ideal introduction to the Berlin startup scene with its summer course programme "International Summer School of Creative Entrepreneurship." The programme is sponsored by the European Union and runs from mid-July to mid-October 2014.

Instructors, themselves creative professionals active and well-connected in Berlin, share their expertise and teach essential skills in creative entrepreneurship, self marketing, management and leadership :
The startup Dark Horse Innovation GmbH embodies an unconventional business concept unifying entrepreneurial thinking with creative potential. Monika Frech and Dominik Krenzler, founders of the agency, show course participants how to quickly convert an idea into a functional business plan.
Ulrike Müller and Nicola Turner (London cultural leadership programme) offer participants the opportunity to apply the "toolkit for business startups," developed by the British agency NESTA, to their own and develop their entrepreneurial skills in marketing and leadership.
The founders of Service Design Berlin, Olga Scupin and Manuel Hoffmann, focus on the optimization of user-friendliness in their workshop and teach methods to promote user-oriented, innovative service. Participants will learn how to optimally incorporate these ideas into systems and apply them to their own entrepreneurial projects.
