Systech and Marchesini Showcase Integrated Serialisation Platform for Emerging European Requirements
BRUSSELS, May 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Systech International(R), innovator of Packaging Execution Systems (PES), and Marchesini Group, leader in labeling technology, today announced that they are showcasing their integrated serialisation solution at Interpack in Dusseldorf. The versatile serialisation offering is designed to fully comply with the upcoming European Union pharmaceutical legislation.
Visitors will see a serialisation line operating as it would in a real world scenario. This includes an application of a serialised 2D Data Matrix bar code printed, verified and tracked fully compliant to GS1 standards. The system is comprised of Systech's newly deployed e-Series vision solution, Systech Advisor(R) line management solution running Systech Serialised Product Tracking (SPT) (http://systech-tips.com/spt.php) and utilizing Marchesini's BL400TT Labeler. This scalable platform has been deployed by many leading global pharmaceutical manufacturers on hundreds of packaging lines.
"The tight integration between Systech and Marchesini offers the pharmaceutical packaging market with an elegant solution for Europe's emerging serialisation requirements," said Joe Ringwood, COO, Systech International. "Since the solution is replicable, manufacturers can quickly and easily deploy it to multiple lines and plants, significantly reducing design, maintenance, and training costs. What's more, the solution's configurability minimizes the need for custom integration, making it easy to implement and modify."
Additionally, the combined offering enables manufacturers to better manage their total cost of ownership when responding to the vast number of different regulatory mandates on the horizon.
"The partnership with Systech demonstrates our commitment to delivering a solution that our customers require in this ever-evolving and increasingly demanding pharmaceutical packaging landscape," said Piero Tomasi, Marchesini Group S.p.A. "Manufactures can now invest in a solution to address current coding requirements and if needed, easily scale to an array of packaging scenarios."
Visitors to the show can see a live demonstration of the complete solution at Marchesini's booth, located at Hall 8a/F05.
