System update at GRAVIS: Customers can now pay for gadgets with Yapital
LUXEMBOURG, September 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
GRAVIS launches cross-channel, mobile payment method Yapital in its online shop / Roll-out to all 44 stores in Germany is planned
Digital lifestyle par excellence for the past 25 years: for electronic lovers, GRAVIS means inspiration through technology and innovation. From now on, the payment experience will fit even better into this line-up, as the biggest German Apple retail chain has successfully implemented the cross-channel payment solution Yapital in its online shop. In the coming months, the cross-channel payment will also be rolled out to the 44 GRAVIS stores across Germany.
Whether online or soon at the store, customers of the digital lifestyle provider will be able to pay for their purchases within seconds, cashless and by always using the same procedure: they simply scan a QR code with the Yapital app on their smartphone and click on 'Confirm', that's it. Online it is alternatively possible to pay by entering the Yapital username and password. A transaction overview in the Yapital app transparently lists all spendings in real-time.
"GRAVIS is known for innovative technology and a unique shopping experience, online as well as in its stores. If the smartphone now pays for a smartphone - fast, simply and securely - and immediately displays the purchase price in an overview enabling consumers to keep an eye on expenses, the experience is perfectly complemented," states Nils Winkler, CEO of Yapital. "In addition, digital lifestyle goods are popular with consumers and are an important market for Yapital on our way to become an Everywhere Payment. We are therefore delighted about this cooperation, it's a perfect fit."
Jochen Otterbach, Managing Director at GRAVIS, adds: "Innovative products that express individuality and the zeitgeist are at the centre of GRAVIS. We want our customers to experience digital ideas. That makes a coherent shopping experience in all aspects essential for us. Yapital fits perfectly into our company philosophy: an innovative payment method that works intuitively online and offline, integrates seamlessly into our customers' daily lives and is fun at the same time."
