"I'm proud that our Digital Sensor Interfaces submission was accepted in Ludwigsburg," said Dr. Patrick Popp, chief technology officer, TE Transportation Solutions, and member of the event's Advisory Committee. "TE's push for digital sensor interfaces opens an opportunity to greatly reduce sensor wiring complexity while significantly enhancing sensor functionality."
TE key topics include:
"The car is evolving from being the ultimate industrial product to becoming the ultimate technology product," said Popp. "As such, both in-vehicle sensor networks as well as high-speed communication play an increasingly important role to enable more safety, more autonomy, more connectivity, more fuel efficiency and lower emissions. All are essential for a better customer experience."
At this year's event, TE will also showcase its transparent car with a wide range of products and solutions for power connectivity, convenience systems, miniaturization, advanced driver assistance systems, hybrid and electric mobility, and carbon-dioxide emissions reduction. Visitors will see that TE connects nearly every electronic function in the car – from cloud-connected services and alternative power systems to infotainment.
TE has engineered a wide range of solutions for automobiles, including technologies to support Ethernet and evolving bandwidth requirements, power terminals and connectors, and sensors with measurement capabilities for position, pressure, humidity, fluid control and temperature.
