The 14th China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair Rounded off in Guzhen
GUZHEN, China, Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The 14th China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair rounded off at the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Oct. 26. Organized by UBM Sinoexpo, the 5-day event was sponsored by the China Association of Lighting Industry, supported by the Zhongshan Economic and Information Technology Bureau, and the Guzhen Township People's Government of Zhongshan. To promote buyer quality, the event, for the first time, charged visitors for on-site registration. The event offered an overseas buyers' lounge, on-site translation services and free shuttle bus between the airport, Zhongshan port and main venue. Guzhen Fair has already become a window for exploring the global market and exhibiting new products and technology.
Since 2014, there have been two fairs a year -- a spring edition and an autumn edition, linking the exhibitions and stores. The autumn edition has expanded the scale of exhibition with increased sub-venues from 3 to 4 and scale raised from 250,000 to 600,000 sq.m.
The opening ceremony was held at the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on Oct. 22. Local government officials and companies participated the ceremony and held many cooperation signings. An opening ceremony was also held at the sub-venue, Star Alliance Lighting & LED Expo Center, on the same day.
Over 200,000 visitors from 60 countries and regions joined the event with 56,828 visitors coming from the main venue and 138,566 from sub-venues. Pre-registration of professional buyers totaled 25,607, among which 2,849 were overseas buyers. The sub-venue, Star Alliance Lighting & LED Expo Center, attracted many visitors and buyers.
Pre-registration was free for visitors. The organizer also launched an exhibitor inquiry system, and free shuttle bus for professional buyers. Overseas buyers enojoyed one-stop service such as transport, hotel, accommodation, visa, translation and lounge area. The event also had free Wi-Fi, a buyers' lounge, and a shuttle bus that runs between the main venue and four sub-venues. In addition, the new version of the official website of the fair offered an updated local hotel reservation system and traffic information, which was highly appreciated by visitors for the convenience it offered.
The 14th China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair has successfully ended. The 15th China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair will take place at the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from March 18-21, 2015, and will focus on the domestic market and create a one-stop lighting exchange platform.
