The 15th International Exhibition on Die & Mould Technology and Equipment to Kick Off on June 4
-- Thirty years of effort has coalesced into the mould industry's most influential event
SHANGHAI, June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/-- The 15th International Exhibition on Die & Mould Technology and Equipment (a.k.a. DIE & MOULD CHINA 2014 or DMC 2014) is scheduled to be held in the E1-E6 showrooms at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from June 4 to 7, 2014. The 80,000-square-meter event, with the backing of the Ministry of Commerce of China, will be the largest show of its kind, with 1,500 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions taking part. Each of the six showrooms will specialize in one aspect of the industry: Joint-venture and foreign makers of precision manufacturing equipment in E1 and E2; machine tools in E3; comprehensive dies and moulds in E4; dies and moulds for the automotive industry in E5; E6 is reserved as the showroom exclusively for new technology, showcasing forming machines and technology as well as die and mould integration. The exhibits include precision machine tools, manufacturing technology, mould and inspection, forming technology and equipment integration, as well as both upstream and downstream products such as materials for manufacturing dies, moulds and heat treatments. The event organizers expect 100,000 visitors from over 60 countries and regions to attend the event.
STRATASYS and 3D system, the two undisputed leaders in the rapid prototyping manufacturing and 3D printing industry, will join hands for the first time for a joint exhibit at the show. Other highlights of the exhibition are fast manufacturing equipment and direct metal laser sintering from German Electro Optical Systems (EOS), an exhibit that will introduce the current dominant technology equipment in use in high-end and pioneering prototyping to domestic visitors. Breuckman GmbH, Objet Shanghai Ltd, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shanxi Hengtong Intelligent Machine Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Seal Laser Fast Forming Co., Ltd., Shanghai Chengmei Technology Co., Ltd., 3D System, EOS, the Digital Manufacturing Department of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Stratasys, Objet, as well as leading players in the booming 3D printing industry, including Shenzhen Pulite Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shihmo (Taiyu) Trading Co., Ltd. and Shining 3D, will all be exhibiting at DMC 2014.
The annual meeting of the Federation of Asian Die & Mould Associations (FADMA) will be held during the exhibition, raising the visibility of the event on the world stage. Furthermore, Haier Mould and the China Die and Mould Industry Association will jointly host a grand seminar to discuss the upgrade and transformation of die and mould manufacturers in the era of the internet. The China Steel Mould Product and New Application Technology Forum, an event jointly hosted by the China Die and Mould Industry Association, the School of Material Science and Engineering of Shanghai University and Shanghai Automobile Metal Materials Research and Engineering Center, will discuss high quality mould steel technology and its application in punching and plastic die casting moulds, helping mould steel manufacturers to improve their quality and mould makers to use mould steel efficiently, in essence a seminar of how to produce, study, research and use moulded steel. Other events intended to spur the development of the mould manufacturing sector include a meeting to establish the Mould Casting Committee of the China Die and Mould Industry Association as well as the annual meeting of Rubber Mould Committee of China Die and Mould Industry Association.
Several awards for the mould industry will be given out during the exhibition — the evaluation process leading to the selection of the winner of the "Outstanding Mould Award" for the period 2012-2014 has, in itself, contributed to the advancement of the industry's technology. Evaluations of mould and manufacturing methods being showcased at the show will be available to the public. The appraisal process for the next "Excellent Supplier" will take place at the same time. Mould manufacturing equipment, mould design and manufacturing software as well as mould materials are all elements that are considered as part of the appraisal process that is intended to guide the purchasing process, reinforce the communication between upstream and downstream manufacturers, open up international market opportunities for equipment and moulds as well as promote technological exchanges across the industry.
China Auto Parts and Service Show (a.k.a. Auto Parts Shanghai 2014) will be held contemporaneously at the expo center from June 5 to 7, 2014 in the W1-W5 showrooms. The two exhibitions will kick off concurrently for the first time enabling the opportunity for a rapid exchange of information between the two industries.
With the application of internet-based new media, such as WeChat and Weibo, participants can access the latest information easier and faster.
