ZHONGSHAN, China, Oct. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The 18th China (Guzhen) International Lighting Fair ("GILF") is taking place at the Guzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in China's Lighting Capital - Guzhen, in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, from the 22nd to the 26th of October, 2016. The event is running concurrently with the Guzhen International Lighting Culture Festival 2016. The two events will allow professional buyers and industry insiders from all over the world to attend the daytime exhibition and treat themselves to a spectacular night-time lighting show in the evening.
The 18th GILF is recognized as the event that brings the Chinese lighting industry together under one roof. The fair will focus on helping more Chinese exporters expand overseas, while assisting Chinese companies in boosting sales in their home market. The theme of the event, "The Original Source of Lighting, Serving 6 Billion People Worldwide," says in a few words what the show is on track to deliver: a showcasing of lighting exhibits spread across five local venues totaling nearly 1.5 million square meters (approx. 16 million square feet). At the same time, the 2nd Guzhen International Lighting Culture Festival, has as a theme: "Light up the world and let your dreams fly." With over 50 creative lighting exhibits and immersive interactive lighting activities, the festival will embody the culture of lighting in a splendid night scene. Guzhen's Lighting Capital Wetland Park and the two plazas in front of the park have been added into the lineup of venues for the 2nd Lighting Culture Festival. The park will be converted into a dreamland expanse of greenery replete with ecological, water-themed and lighting installations, demonstrating the power of technology inspired by nature. The Lighting Culture Festival is also expected to highlight the synergy of combining lighting with the prevailing culture through a specially-themed lighting show to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sun Yat-sen as well as other complementary programs, including the Interactive Lighting Experience Zone, the Sand Concert, the Food Festival and the Flower Parade.
