Robotics, moulds and dies, new materials and plastic transformers will be presented alongside 3D printing in the 3rd edition of IN(3D)USTRY From Needs to Solutions, which reaffirms its industrial profile. Organised by Fira de Barcelona, the event will be held from October 16-18 in Exhibition Hall 8 of the Montjuïc fair site. It will include representatives from leading companies in the use of this innovative technology, who will interact with the 90 exhibiting companies.

The 3rd edition of IN(3D)USTRY From Needs to Solutions will expand its influence across the industrial ecosystem, expanding the sectors present in the first two editions. To this end, the event will address five subjects (advanced manufacturing, moulds and dies, new materials, plastic transformers and 3D printing), around which the content of the event will be based.
The event, which will include the collaboration of Leitat, Tecnalia and IAM3DHUB as strategic partners, will be structured around the IN(3D)USTRY Arena, a large area for innovation including a stage where 40 representatives from companies from 5 sectors (health, aeronautics, industry, automotive and retail) will present manufacturers with challenges for the future. In turn, manufacturers will offer solutions to these sectors' needs and will share success stories and potential applications for this technology throughout the world of industry.
Guest speakers will include Dr Jaedeok Yoo, founder of Aprecia Pharmaceutical, which has patented a system for manufacturing pills using 3D printing; Jessica Zeaske, director of investments at GE Ventures Healthcare, General Electric's venture capital fund for health, which manages 75 innovative startups; Markus Obermeier, director of the additive manufacturing sector at Siemens; and Jose Mariano López-Urdiales, CEO of Zero2Infinity, a company that has created an innovative system for placing small satellites into orbit. Other participating companies will include automotive manufacturer SEAT, Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM Technologies, the Spanish company CAF, which specialises in the design, manufacture and maintenance of trains, and the German railway network Deutsche Bahn.
IN(3D)USTRY will also host the Reshape awards for the best 3D designs, the Ayri11 Robotics Congress , as well as an exhibition area with some 90 companies, including 3D printer manufacturers and new sectors participating in the event for the first time.
