MACAU, Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The long-awaited Fourth China (Macau) International Automobile Exposition was held at the Cotai Expo in The Venetian Macau from November 7 to November 9, 2014.
This year's expo was co-hosted by the Macau Convention & Exhibition Association, Nam Kwong (Group) Company Limited and China National Machinery Industry Corporation, organized by Nam Kwong (Group) International Convention and Exhibition, China National Automotive Industry International Corporation and Macau-based Prime Marketing & Promotional Services, and co-organized by China Europe Association for Economic and Technical Cooperation, Macau Motor Traders Association and Automobile General Association Macau-China.
The 62,000 sqm exhibition brought together 90+ major automobile brands from 15 countries and regions around the world with 400+ vehicles on display. Over 30 high-end summits and events were hosted concurrently. The expo attracted 165,000 visitors and 200+ media representatives from around the world. Statistics show that this expo broke several attendance records, including some in the conventions and exhibitions sector in Macau.
The show brought together automakers from around the world. Chinese exhibitors included Dongfeng Motor, Chang'an Automobile, GAC Motor, Beiqi, SAIC Motor, JAC, China North Industries Group, Great Wall Motors, Brilliance Auto, Zhengzhou Yutong Bus and Shenzhen Wuzhoulong Motors. Imported brands showcased at the event included Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Toyota, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Nissan, Honda, Ford, Renault, Volvo, Kia, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Mazda, Jeep, Subaru, Hyundai, Mini and Smart. In addition, the State-Owned Enterprise Electric Vehicle Industry Alliance of China, together with the country's eight leading state-owned new energy vehicle makers, among them FAW and Potevio, participated in this year's expo. Super luxury and RV brands on display at the show included Pagani, Bentley, Lamborghini, Mitsuoka, George Patton, Tesla, Central Europe RV, King Long Coach, Jinguan Shenglu, SKYWARD, Farid RV, Caravelair, Mercedes-Benz Viano, Aiwei RV,ABT and Euro-Tec. Furthermore, Pagani's newly minted high-profile sports car made its debut.
Fourteen car distributors from Hong Kong and Macau displayed their entire collection of imported models. BMW's recent secret model and the Audi S1 were also unveiled.
In addition, over 30 vehicle-themed cultural events were held. Concurrently, the organizers also hosted the 4th China (Macau) International Yacht Import and Export Fair as well as the 3rd Macau Business Aviation Exhibition, collectively themed "Distinguished Gathering", creating the largest land-air-sea event in the Asia-Pacific region.
