The Creative Industries Trade and Investment Board (CITIB) appoints creative industry-leader, Annette King, to Chair position
LONDON, Nov. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Annette King, CEO of Publicis Groupe UK, has been appointed to the position of Chair on the Creative Industries Trade and Investment Board (CITIB).
The Creative Industries Trade and Investment Board (CITIB) is an industry-led advisory board for the UK Government, involved in the UK Government's plans and investment for the creative industries and charged with recommending long-term strategic decisions for the Government's trade and investment policy.
Annette King will lead this Board, which spans 17 different creative sectors including Film, Gaming, Music, Performing Arts, Fashion, Advertising, Design and Digital / Technology.
Together, the Board will deliver a three-year export strategy that will ensure resources are targeted at markets with the greatest opportunity. It will develop and oversee delivery of an export strategy and explore, support and advise on high-value opportunities for Inward Investment and Foreign Direct Investment.
As Chair of the Board, Annette will incorporate her experience of running businesses of diverse disciplines including creative, media, healthcare and digital business transformation. In her current role as CEO, Publicis Groupe UK, Annette's remit is to drive more collaboration and growth across all the UK agencies, with a single P&L and client-centric strategies. Prior to this role, Annette worked at Ogilvy, where she spent 17 years in various different roles, from running and building OgilvyOne in the UK and then EMEA, to leading Ogilvy UK Group's ten operating companies for the last four years. Annette has also worked for Wunderman in London and New York. Recently named as one of London's most influential people of 2018 (London Evening Standard), Annette has worked with clients across a diverse range of industries and has experience across all marketing capabilities and disciplines.
