The European Top Business Hotels 2010: Which hotels Were Preferred by Business Travellers?
LONDON, February 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- No matter whether they are mobile self-employed persons, employees of SMEs or frequent travellers from an international company - they all spend several nights a week in hotels. It had to be asked in which hotels such business travellers preferred to spend the night during 2010. Was there a preferred chain for business guests and did the smaller, owner-managed hotels have any success in attracting such clients?
hotel.info (http://www.hotel.info), the online hotel reservation service with more than 210,000 hotels worldwide, offered free of charge to users, made a detailed analysis of the booking pattern of business travellers during 2010 - and that in several countries. Due to the importance to the business traveller of the value for money offered and the resultant preference for hotels in the mid to upper hotel categories the analysis concentrated on hotels having 2 to 4 stars (including those with 4.5 stars).
Here is the list of the Top 15 hotels most frequently booked through hotel.info in Europe.
The Result:
Generally chain hotels dominated the results in 2010. The Courtyard in Stockholm came top of the list but the Falkensteiner in Bratislava and the Melia in Luxembourg were also preferred places to stay for business travellers. The Hilton London Tower Bridge came eighth in the ranking. In the whole of Europe the owner-managed hotels Grand Hotel Zvon in Budweis, Kantarellis Suites in Vaasa und the Airport Hotel in Budapest also appear in the list.
