The FM Event 2012 to Welcome Record Number of Visitors
LONDON, September 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
With the annual facilities management gathering, The FM Event less than two weeks away, organisers today announced that the show is set to welcome more visitors than ever before. Running from 10-11 October at London's Olympia, The FM Event is on track to host more visitors than previous years along with exhibitors from across the full spectrum of the FM supply chain.
Bringing together Facilities, Estate and Property Managers along with suppliers, The FM Event, run in association with British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), will provide a unique environment to view and interact with the latest products and services from leading companies across the sector.
Fergus Bird, Group Event Manager at UBM Live Group said: "We are delighted to see the positive impact that the changes we have made to the programme and features for The FM Event is having on pre-registration for visitors this year. Last year we asked the industry what they wanted from this event and a resounding response was more networking and more relevant educational content, we have provided this with a new-look FM Academy and The Networking Hub, which we hope will prove not only popular but as vital industry resources for those working within facilities management."
The annual exhibition will run alongside a comprehensive free-to-attend education programme, The FM Academy; providing industry insight, thought leadership along with panel discussions bringing together representatives from across facilities management. Devised in consultation with leading industry members and associations, speakers already confirmed to take part in the FM Academy include Ismena Clout the Chairman for BIFM, Derrick Tate, Assistant Director at PWC Real Estate Advisory and Tim Davidson-Hague Director, Centre for Facilities Management Development, Sheffield Hallam University, amongst others.
Another brand new feature for 2012 is The Networking Hub, which is already proving a huge draw for the reinvigorated event. Running over both days and hosting breakfast, lunch and afternoon briefings that will look to spark healthy debates around the future of facilities management, many delegates have already expressed their interest to participate in these lively discussions that will be hosted by the likes of BIFM, The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), The Carbon Trust and The Facilities Management Association (FMA).
