Get inspiration on how to glam up your home this spring
Last year, 270,000 people visited the Ideal Home Show, and it's back at Earls Court, London this spring, with hundreds of ideas for your home under one roof.
The show, which runs from 16 March to 1 April 2012, has more than 600 exhibitors offering inspiration for your home including interiors, DIY, gardens, gadgets and food.
Here's a taste of what's on offer at The Ideal Home Show:
Interiors:
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is offering advice on how to "lush up your living room" and you can check out the latest design trends, furniture, storage ideas and ideas on how to decorate your home.
Home improvements:
Whether you want to spruce up your home with a few small changes or are embarking on a huge renovation project, there are thousands of products and top brands. Experts are on hand to offer advice - including money-saving expert Martin Lewis and celebrity gardener Alan Titchmarsh.
Gardening:
There's everything you need to make your garden look picture perfect, whether you're an absolute beginner or seasoned pro. Whatever the size of your outside space, there are ideas for patios, furniture, window boxes and much more.
Food and homeware:
The Celebrity Chef Theatre showcases some of the biggest names in cooking, including Phil Vickery, Dean Edwards, Martin Blunos, Matt Dawson and The Fabulous Baker Brothers. There are also plenty of gadgets and appliances to make your kitchen fit for a pro. And if you've worked up an appetite, drop into the Greg Wallace Café, where the Masterchef maestro will be serving up some classic dishes.
Gadgets:
There are a host of handy gizmos to make your life easier, from entertainment and games to energy saving items to make your home more eco-friendly.
Pampering:
If all that home inspiration has left you in need of some TLC, head to the Ideal Woman area where you can relax with a beauty treatment, hit the cocktail bars or pick up fashion tips and sample the latest beauty products.
Home improvements are more popular than ever as the housing market remains unpredictable. Although many people want to increase the value of their house, others have decided not to move so want their homes to be as gorgeous as possible.
If you're thinking of doing some work to your home, make sure you have the appropriate insurance. Buildings Insurance covers your home, but you'll also need Contents Insurance just in case your possessions are damaged by a DIY mishap. Check you're covered before you start!
