Trimega Laboratories Sponsors Resolution Child Law Conference
LONDON, April 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Trimega Laboratories was proud to act as the main sponsor of the 23rd National Resolution Child Law Conference, which took place from 1-2 April in Cardiff. Resolution's 5,500 members are made up of family solicitors who are committed to a common goal of improving family law and the family justice system.
The two day event included speeches from those involved in the industry including David Norgrove, Chair of Family Justice Review Panel and Philip Waller, Senior District Judge of the Principal Registry of the Family Division. In addition there was the opportunity for members to take part in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops. Trimega was pleased to have delegates in attendance to answer questions on the applied science involved in testing for long term substance misuse using hair.
Delegates expressed fears that UK Government proposals to slash family legal aid would cause severe hardship for families in Wales who are going through the pain of separation or divorce.
Douglas MacSween, General Manager of Trimega Laboratories, commented: "As the principal sponsor of this event we have been able to share and discuss with the attendees the science behind hair testing and how it will help alleviate fears that children may be left in abusive households."
Colin Jones, Chief Executive of Resolution, said: "Resolution is delighted that Trimega sponsored our conference this year. They have an important role to play in helping safeguard children and it is helpful for our members to have the opportunity to understand the science behind hair testing for substance abuse."
