Turkcell Chief Corporate Marketing Officer Yigit Kulabas, who emphasized the importance of adapting to technology to increase productivity and growth stated that; "We are providing the latest applications of the most advanced technologies in the world to the 480 thousand companies and institutions that we are in contact with throughout Turkey, enabling them to achieve more productive and focused results. It is very crucial for our companies to adapt to the new way of doing business, which has made the transition to the new era of mobility. Companies need to access the right customer groups when making investment decisions. Turkcell Smart Map ensures that the action taken reaches out to the right customer. In other words, those who use the Smart Map can go in depth to the needs of the city. Thus, more accurate decisions can be made based on real information, rather than assumptions."
Adding that the Smart Map service was one of the most accurate examples of big data analysis, itself one of the latest and most important agenda items being discussed in the technology world, Kulabas went on to say that "it is possible to gather a large amount of data with technology; however knowing how to use the data to expand our business remains an important question of our day. Today's technology giants are making big investments in this. With Smart Map we make this analysis possible on a mass basis for companies who want to access the right customers. In traffic applications, examples are given in simplified terms by using red, yellow and green to show where the concentrations of vehicles are. Similarly, on the Turkcell Smart Map we transform this concentration into user-friendly language. Public Agencies and municipalities will also be able to use Smart Map to provide efficient and well placed services in areas where there is a high concentration of citizens, and can also use it to plan investments and conduct urban planning."
ABOUT SMART MAP
Companies can access Turkcell Smart Map with a user name and password on https://akilliharita.turkcell.com.tr. They can analyze Turkcell's mobile activity concentration at a point and time where an activity is being planned, or else analyze where their own customers are concentrated at a specific time of the day. In addition to the visual map analyses provided online concerning concentrations, analytical statistics can also be used as a web service in integration with the company's own reporting and decision support systems.
The Smart Map, showing where customer masses in which increments are based on Province, District, Neighborhood and even for units smaller than neighborhoods, provides an important data source to companies in deciding on how to organize field activities, tracking and directing fleets in the field, and deciding on the use of billboards, and opening up new branches, stores, hospitals and schools, as well as where customer groups narrowed down to more specific criteria are gathered, and in what concentration during the daytime.
