Two Accolades at the 2013 Telly Awards for SaxoCycling.com Campaign
HELLERUP, Denmark, June 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Saxo Bank, the online trading and investment specialist, secured two prizes at the 34th Annual Telly Awards, which honour the very best film and video production, as well as online video content.
Saxo Bank rode off with the Best Financial Services/Banking and Best Sound/Sound Design bronze awards for their SaxoCycling.com integrated marketing campaign.
Henrik Lykkesteen, Chief Marketing Officer at Saxo Bank, commented:
"These awards are a celebration of our collaboration with Team Saxo-Tinkoff. These films are a fantastic way to engage with a broader cycling audience by drawing parallels between the efforts, skills and emotions of the riders with that of trading foreign exchange with Saxo Bank. There are clear connections between trading and riding - both pursuits involve passion, the desire to take risks and the necessity of having confidence in one's tools."
Shot by Fredrik Clement and directed by Jim Piercy, the Saxo Cycling Film Project consists of 10 beautifully shot short films designed to promote Saxo Bank's involvement in the Tour de France.
The 8th film, released today, features Faustino Munoz Cambron, the mechanic who keeps Alberto Contador and the Team Saxo-Tinkoff riders on the road to victory. Each season, Faustino Munoz Cambron builds over 100 race bikes for Team Saxo-Tinkoff, adjusting every chain, brake pad and saddle for maximum performance. That dedication ensures that when the race begins, riders know their gear will deliver 100%.
