UBM Delivered the 2nd Edition High Level Public Seminar in Chengdu
BEIJING, Oct. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, October 20, 2014, UBM delivered an entire day of the 2nd edition high level public seminar on the topic of "Sharing Global Best Practices on Exhibition Strategies and Tactics" to a group of selected attendees from local Chinese exhibition organizing companies at Shangri-La Hotel Chengdu. The event was co-organized with the Trade in Services Department of Ministry of Commerce, supported by Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Exposition and China Convention & Exhibition Society (CCES).

Mr. Lv Jijian, Deputy Director General of Trade in Services Department of MOFCOM and Mr. Mu Tao, Director General of Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Exposition, delivered opening speeches and welcome remarks respectively. The event was keynoted by speeches from Mr. Jime Essink, President & CEO of UBM Asia, sharing the Changing Exhibition Landscape in China and Mr. Simon Foster, CEO of UBM Live, sharing the experiences of Working With Partners Across International Boundaries.
UBM brought in other key experts from China and overseas including Mr. Ben Veechai, Regional Director International Marketing from UBM Asia headquarters office in Hong Kong, who shared the knowledge of "Think Like Foreigners: The Keys to Attracting International Customers;" Mr. Jerome Hainz, Regional Director Event Technology & e-Business from UBM Asia, who talked about Using the Mobile Trend to Benefit Exhibitors, Visitors and Organizers; Mdm. Vivienne Li, Sales Director of PRN China, who shared the knowledge of Cross Media Marketing for Exhibition Organizers; and Mdm. Margaret Connolly, Managing Director of UBM China, who spoke about advanced concept of exhibition Value Based Pricing Strategy.
There were altogether 69 attendees from selected companies came to Chengdu from all over China to attend the seminar that was offered at no charge. At the end of a very full day of learning, attendees received their certificates personally from Mr. Lv Jijian, Deputy Director General of Trade in Services Department of MOFCOM, Mr. Jime Essink, President & CEO of UBM Asia, Mr. Philip Chapnick, Group Chief Representative of UBM in China and Mr. Yuan Zai Qing, President of CCES, who highly appraised the successful conclusion of this event and encourage the attendees to apply what they learnt today into their daily works.
