ZURICH, November 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Competition winner announced
UBS announces the winner of 'WOMEN: Heroes', a digital campaign celebrating women making an impact in their communities. The campaign complements the 10-city international tour of 'WOMEN: New Portraits', an exhibition of newly commissioned photographs by Annie Leibovitz, featuring women of outstanding achievement.
Exhibition visitors and audiences globally were invited to share stories of inspiring women in their own lives. 90,000 people engaged in the competition. Participants submitted their captioned photos via Instagram using #ShareYourHero or directly to the digital gallery at http://www.ubs.com/shareyourhero.
The winner Tatjana Neubauer, a 23-year old from Vienna, nominated her mother and won a trip for two to New York to meet Annie Leibovitz and attend the opening of 'WOMEN: New Portraits' on 18 November 2016. "My mother always puts other people first. I don't get to see her that often, as I work and study in Vienna, but we never lose track of each other's lives."
Johan Jervoe, Chief Marketing Officer, UBS said: "There has been so much interest in the exhibition tour we wanted to invite audiences globally to celebrate their female role models and to explore their own creativity. Collectively this is a global and progressive portrait."
WOMEN: Heroes stories:
Kevin Elmore on his wife:
Diane is my hero. We have 2 great sons, she's a personal chef and a gifted athlete. At the Princeton IronMan 70.3 race, I had a 25 minute head start. She caught me, but slowed down so we could finish together.
Liz McGonigal on her niece:
At a mere 4 years old, my niece Hannah claims the hero position for her eagerness to explore, hunger for knowledge, boundless creativity, extraordinary confidence and self-love. She teaches me everyday, how to live.
