"We felt that we needed to really up our game in digital marketing in general," noted Liam Hurley, executive officer to the president at the University of Roehampton. "We had a vision of a simple, straightforward design, video-driven, with mobile and desktop iterations of the site. We wanted something that was going to be interesting and interactive for our potential students, something that would look great on smartphones as well."
With the Ektron WCM platform, the University of Roehampton created a device-specific and geographically intelligent, video-based platform that has dramatically improved performance against key competitors. The University launched an interactive website that looks clean, is easy-to-use and works on both desktop and mobile devices. The site also has a strong video integration component offering prospective students insight on the university as well as social activities on campus and around London.
"The University of Roehampton brought their digital marketing presence to a new level," said Bill Rogers, CEO and founder of Ektron. "With the incorporation of a geographically intelligent, video-based platform, they opened up the site to an international audience and could draw upon its rich history as well as the 130-plus different nationalities that are currently assimilated amongst the 9,000 students in attendance. The new site is rich, clean and offers a good opportunity to prospective students to engage with the University."
