The VBox TV Gateway's new capabilities allow users to access and control their device beyond their home network and stream live TV in its original quality to mobile phones, tablets, Smart TVs, Raspberry Pi 2s, UPnP devices, Android set-top boxes and computers. VBox users can also use a new, advanced PVR to create series recordings, schedule on the go, and watch recordings over the Internet or offline on Android devices.
"Even with the rise of OTT content, viewers want to watch live broadcast TV such as sports, news and local content and have limited options to do so beyond the TV set," says Amir Aharonovich, VP of Marketing, VBox. "Now, VBox is changing the way people watch TV yet again, by going beyond the home network and enabling users to stream their favorite broadcast TV content to any connected device."
The VBox TV Gateway is currently available in 13 countries and works with satellite, cable and terrestrial broadcasts, both Free to Air and Pay TV CI. The device requires only the affordable up-front cost for the device itself, with no ongoing monthly fees.
VBox will be showcasing the VBox TV Gateway at IFA, the global trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, in Berlin from September 4-9, 2015. VBox will exhibit at the IFA TecWatch Hall 11.1, Stand 14.10. Meetings can be scheduled through the VBox website.
