The Board of Element Six is pleased to announce the appointment of Walter Hühn as the company's new CEO with effect from 8th March 2013.

Currently Executive Director of Advanced Materials and Technologies and based in Germany, Walter joined Element Six in 2008 to lead the Advanced Materials Division and became Director of Technologies in 2011.
Since joining Element Six, Walter has transformed the Advanced Materials business to become a major contributor to Element Six's revenue stream and operating profit. Under his stewardship, the Technologies business is experiencing very strong growth across all its key markets, and has established a reputation for developing extreme performance application innovations in collaboration with customers. 2012 saw Element Six win the Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation, in joint partnership with Bowers & Wilkins (B&W), the British audio brand. Through his leadership Walter has also brought rigour and structure into the Element Six sales and distribution teams globally, enabling ever strengthening partnerships to be realised with key customer accounts.
Prior to joining Element Six, Walter held a number of roles across the telecommunications and information technology industry, including Fujitsu Computers, where he was Director of their Major Account Business driving new product and services offerings. Walter also served as Managing Director of Motorola Germany, established Motorola's international Key Account organisation for Network Operators, and was part of the development of Motorola's new Global Consumer Marketing initiatives.
