Following the enormous success of two previous Moodle Massive Open Online Courses (Moodle MOOCs), WizIQ, the leading e-learning platform, continues its tradition of empowering teachers through online education by announcing Moodle MOOC 3. The MOOC will begin on February 1, 2014 and feature numerous leaders and innovators in the field of education and technology, like Shelly Sanchez Terrell, who has been recognized as a visionary in the movement of teacher driven professional development, Dr. Bryan Alexander, who co-coined the term MOOC with Dave Cormier and Graham Stanley, who works as a project manager for the British Council.

The MOOC will focus on connecting online for collaborative learning and teaching through Moodle. The live presentations will include the speakers' reflective process on teaching and learning in fully online and blended learning formats.
The combined expertise of the presenters will help participants make the most of both synchronous and asynchronous elements in the course. The synchronous will include live online classes with recordings, content (tips and tricks), and discussions. The asynchronous will include Moodle teacher training on Moodle 2.5 and 2.6.
The live online classes will be delivered via WizIQ Virtual Classroom. The recordings of these classes will be available on WizIQ, YouTube, and Vimeo for future reference in case somebody misses a class or would like to review the content.
The theme of the current MOOC is collaborative learning and connecting online for instruction and learning. Moodle MOOC 3 will also include Moodle for Teachers (M4T) courses for beginners and advanced Moodlers.
Participants will be able to receive support and ask questions in advance and throughout the course in the course feed (discussion forum) in the course area on WizIQ.
Certificates of completion will be awarded to participants, who are active on the coursefeed (discussions), attend and/or view the recordings of 10 live sessions, reflect and write about the live sessions and share the link of their activities (blog, wiki, Moodle, facebook and other social networks). This aspect of the MOOC is ongoing, but time-based. The certificates will be awarded on Moodle for Teachers Moodle site (http://moodle4teachers.org) for those who join and take the Moodle teacher training course. The due date for the reflective practice is February 28, 2014.
