Wolters Kluwer UK Tax Software Achieves 99.65% Online Filing Rate
LONDON, January 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
CCH Personal Tax Software Reaches Market-Leading First-Time Success Rate in Online Filing of UK Tax Returns by Accountants to HMRC in 2014 Tax Season
CCH-branded Personal Tax software used by UK accountants for filing their clients' self-assessment tax returns* achieved a 99.65% first-time success rate during the April to December period in 2014.
The statistics show that CCH software, produced by global information services group Wolters Kluwer, is ahead of the 98.37% UK market average for third-party software providers (excluding Wolters Kluwer's own figures).
Simon Crompton, MD of the CCH UK software operation, says: "More than four and half million personal tax returns were filed online in 2014. This is a huge increase in the number of returns now submitted to HMRC electronically - two years ago the figure was a little over one and a half million.
"With these large numbers, even the slightest variance in the percentage of the first-time success rate can be hugely important and save accountants significant time and money. We are delighted with our latest results."
