ALISO VIEJO, California, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Less than a month after its flagship restaurant was unveiled in Karachi, a second Johnny Rockets opened doors on January 17th in Lahore, the country's second largest city. The highly anticipated opening is part of a strategic plan by Hamdan International to bring ten Johnny Rockets restaurants to Pakistan within the next decade. After seeing how quickly Pakistan has already identified with this unique combination of flavorful food and friendly service, Johnny Rockets CEO John Fuller is optimistic about the brand's future as it continues to reach a greater number of the country's 180 million people.
"We see enormous potential in this highly populated region that, up until now, had never seen a fun-focused restaurant like Johnny Rockets," explained Fuller. "As an economic hub in one of Pakistan's most accessible cities, we foresee exponential opportunities in this rapidly expanding consumer market. We are confident that Hamdan International has the vision and expertise to make that happen."
Like its predecessor in Karachi, the new Z Block Lahore restaurant boasts the signature Johnny Rockets atmosphere of relaxed, casual fun complete with twirled straws and lively music that have been synonymous with the brand since the original restaurant opened in Los Angeles in 1986. Enterprising businessman Abdul Wahab of Hamdan International first decided to bring the award-winning global franchise to Pakistan after seeing an insatiable demand for Johnny Rocket's all-American favorites including delicious made-to-order burgers, crispy American fries, hand-spun shakes and classic sandwiches.
With a stunning glass-encased exterior and the signature neon signs of Johnny Rockets, the street front Z Block venue is poised to attract local residents and visitors eager to embrace the brand's iconic taste of Americana.
"As the second Johnny Rockets in Pakistan, located in one of the most densely populated cities in the world, this property provides us with a wealth of consumers who've been curious to see what the hype behind this all-American dining experience is all about," said Wahab.
A third Johnny Rockets restaurant in Pakistan is set to open in the capital city of Islamabad in the coming months.
Johnny Rockets Z Block Lahore is open seven days a week from 11:00 am to midnight. For more information about Johnny Rockets and its franchising opportunities, go to www.johnnyrockets.com.
