Yelena Baturina's Think-tank BE OPEN Launches its Next Global Open Call Devoted to Urban Patterns
LONDON, September 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
BE OPEN, a creative think-tank founded by the international entrepreneur and philanthropist Yelena Baturina, is launching its next global open call in social media. The project is open for visual entries that prove people's creative ability to see beyond the reality, spot the art in the most habitual world around us.
The open call named #BeOpenUrbanPattern aims to explore the way creative approach may transform people's perception of urban landscapes. The majority of people in the world live in cities, and the numbers are growing fast. This time BE OPEN asks the participants to share their love and unique vision of their cities revealed in the form of urban patterns - the patterns that cities create around us for us to capture.
The project is based on the idea that cities are able of creating patterns sometimes more intricate and interesting than those by professional designers, and encourages people globally to engage their creative thinking, look around through their own lens, capture those precious patterns and share the visuals via Instagram with the #BEOPENUrbanPattern hashtag.
The theme of the open call has been inspired by the City Pitch Leadership programme being held in 2017 and 2018 by the Mayor's Fund for London and BE OPEN.
The contest is open for submissions up till October 10, 2017. The winner will be selected by the BE OPEN Community jury from a shortlist comprised of submissions with the highest ratings of likes by Instagram users. The winner will receive EUR 300 in prize money.
BE OPEN invites everyone to make a creative statement of their own and share that unique vision with the world!
