LONDON, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Sage Pay, the UK and Ireland's leading payment processor announces a partnership with Zibaba, the leading Facebook ecommerce and advertising platform. Through a joint offering, Sage Pay merchants can now boost sales by opening storefronts on Facebook supported by marketing and advertising tools designed to attract highly qualified visitors.
The offering comes as the first ever integration between the Facebook platform, PayPal and a UK payment processor.
With just a few clicks, Sage Pay merchants can now use their payment gateway inside their Facebook store, enabling them to use social channels as part of a bigger multi-channel strategy, allowing customers to buy how and where they like.
Simon Black, CEO, Sage Pay, comments "Our partnerships with companies like Zibaba are crucial to ensuring our customers stay one step ahead of the latest trends in todays market."
Zibaba has created Facebook stores for some of the UK's biggest brands including Dune, Cath Kidson, Topman and Thorntons. This in turn has enabled them to not only open another sales channel directly inside the most visited web site on the internet, but with the launch of an Ads API feature, they can now automatically generate and buy ads to effectively promote their storefronts using Facebook's various geographic, demographic and psychographic targeting tools.
Today Zibaba is the leading Facebook ecommerce and advertising platform and continues to steer this dynamic, fast paced market.
According to Yossi Goldlust, Senior Director of Business Development for Zibaba, "Facebook stores are a must have for any business that is serious about selling online. Conversion rates are at least as high as standard web stores and more importantly, Facebook users spend 1.5 times more online than the average internet user."
