Ziehm Imaging Introduces Ziehm Remote Service
NUREMBERG, Germany, April 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Faster and easier problem solving for clinics worldwide
Even a temporary breakdown of medical devices can lead to cost-intensive downtimes in the OR. Ziehm Imaging's Ziehm Remote Service offers clinical users faster diagnosis and troubleshooting for optimized uptime. This option is immediately available for the newest generation of Ziehm Imaging mobile C-arms.
"Remote service is an established service offering for fix installed systems, e.g. when it comes to software problems which can often be solved remotely. In case of hardware problems, remote service cannot replace the onsite technical support, but a remote diagnosis often enables a faster and more efficient resolution of the incident", says Christian Eras, Vice President Global Service at Ziehm Imaging. "We are very pleased to be able to offer our clients remote service for mobile C-arms as well."
Focus on optimized uptime
Ziehm Remote Service support optimizes uptime in clinics worldwide. Ziehm Imaging service experts can directly assess the status of the mobile C-arm and in many cases resolve the incident immediately. When the problem cannot be solved remotely the service expert can often identify the cause of the incident or the components that have failed and can arrange for the required spare parts or a service engineer to be sent to the clinical site. This approach ensures quicker system recovery and shorter interruptions of the clinical workflow.
Focus on data security
Security of remote access has been a priority for Ziehm Imaging in the development of the Ziehm Remote Service concept. Ziehm Imaging selected Axeda, an established remote service partner for major players in the medical market, as technological provider for the new service offering. The system incorporates an end-to-end security strategy and is operated in ISO 27001 certified data centers. The clinical user activates the remote service session. A Secure Socket Layer connection ensures a safe communication via the Internet and no patient information is transferred at any time.
The Ziehm Remote Service option is now available for the newest generation of Ziehm Imaging mobile C-arms.
