(NYSE: SPB) ("Spectrum Brands") today announced that the Federal Trade Commission has allowed expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended ("HSR Act"), with respect to the previously announced acquisition by Energizer of Spectrum Brands' battery and lighting products business.
