New OpenNebula 4.8 Bridging Private and Public Clouds

Code-named "Lemon Slice", the twenty-fourth release of OpenNebula is available today with the simplest provisioning model in the cloud market. With "Lemon Slice" it is now even easier to build and provision enterprise applications and manage virtual data centers. More improvements are also featured in many OpenNebula components like revamped network subsystems with IP reservation, enhanced quota management, or better Ceph drivers.

An important highlight in this release is the vast improvement in the hybrid model. "Lemon Slice" adds the integration with IBM SoftLayer and Microsoft Azure to build hybrid clouds, widening the range of possibilities to offload applications in case of fluctuating or peak demands.
