The II Moscow International Forum for Innovative Development "Open Innovations", which was held in Moscow from October 31 to November 1, 2013, confirmed its role of a global discussion platform in the field of technological innovations.

For two consecutive years now, "Open Innovations" has become the largest event in Russia and one of the biggest events in the world, demonstrating the major trends and key developments in innovative sectors of the economy. Open Innovations Expo 2013, which exposition has become a unique platform for the development and demonstration of advanced technologies, exchange of experience in successful implementing of innovative projects, as well as effective interaction between government, science and business was held within the framework of the Forum.
The value of Open Innovations Forum for a breakthrough development of the global market of innovations and advanced technological solutions leaves no doubt -it is just enough to have a look at the list of the main guests. The Forum was attended by the heads of government of Russia, Finland and France - Dmitry Medvedev, Jyrki Katainen and Jean-Marc Ayrault. They met with representatives of the innovative, entrepreneurial and scientific community, members of the "100 innovators" Youth Program and discussed national strategies of leadership in the hyperlinked world in real-time mode.
The Forum attracted more than 4,000 participants from 47 countries of the world. Ambassadors and foreign delegations from 22 countries, Russian and foreign ministers and their deputies, 28 governors of the Russian Federation subjects were present at the Forum as guests of honor. About 900 media representatives covered the work of the Forum.
About 400 speakers appeared during the discussion of the key topic of the Forum 2013 - Game Changers - at 3 plenary sessions and more than 60 events of sections: leaders of Russian and foreign government agencies, science and business, representatives of the world's leading companies and organizations that significantly change the rules of the game in the global market.
More than three dozen agreements on cooperation in aerospace, chemical and IT-industries, as well as in the field of education, improving skills and business development were concluded for two days of the Forum "Open Innovations" and "Open Innovations Expo2013" Exhibition.
The Forum summed up the second national ranking of Russian high-tech growing companies "TechUspech-2013". 50 companies were selected from 100 domestic technologically advanced companies, the average growth rate of which was 72 %. Total revenues of the companies included in the top 50 of "TechUspech-2013" were 67.1 billion rubles, of which R&D expenses amounted to 5.6 billion rubles, the cost of technological innovations reached 11,472 billion rubles.
Within the framework of Open Innovations Expo 2013 more than 1,000 technological developments were introduced at a time, 80 events were held, including opening of factories, technology demonstrations, signing agreements, presentations and work-shops. 530 companies and organizations from 9 countries became exhibitors. Collective booths were presented by2 countries (France and Finland) and 23 subjects of the Russian Federation. The exhibition was visited by more than 10,000 people.
