The South Africa Visa Application in London was officially inaugurated in July 2015 by the South African Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Malusi Gigaba, MP and the South African High Commissioner to UK, His Excellency Mr. Obed Mlaba along with Mr Chris Dix, Chief Operating Officer for Europe and the Americas.

Operating from a dedicated modern facility, VFS Global manages the visa application processes for 15 client governments ensuring that visa applicants receive a high level of service in a comfortable and secure environment. Additionally, applicants would also be able to apply for a South African Visa from the VFS centers in Manchester and Edinburgh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Malusi Gigaba, Minister for Home Affairs in South Africa, commented: "Tourism is hugely important to the South African economy and we want to make it as easy as possible for people to visit, while ensuring the security of tourists and South African residents alike. The three new visa centres here in the UK will mean that it will be quicker and easier for applicants to submit their visa requests at locations in major cities across the country. Notes to editors
All applicants carrying normal passports must submit their visa applications at the VFS Global Centre. The South African High Commission will process these final applications.
Costs for using the Visa Facilitation Centre's services will be made known in due course.
Holders of Diplomatic Passports who submit their applications under cover of a Note Verbal for travel to South Africa for official purposes should continue to submit their applications at the South African High Commission in South Africa House Trafalgar Square.
