KIEV, Ukraine, July 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
The head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Borys Lozhkin did not try to persuade the prominent businessman Alexander Yaroslavsky (one of the TOP-10 richest Ukrainians according to Forbes Ukraine) to run for mayor of Kharkiv. The official declared the above in his interview to Livyy Bereh on the 3rd of July.

"Yaroslavsky has got other priorities. He loves life in all its displays and I do not think he would want to become a mayor right now," - he noted.
According to the head of the Presidential Administration, there are much greater expectations when it comes to Yaroslavsky's business activity than his political career.
"He has great international connections, including major European and American investors. Therefore I very much count on him participating in the privatization processes and current investment projects. As someone who has already built a lot, I think he shall be very effective," - underlined Borys Lozhkin.
Oleksandr Yaroslavsky is a famous Ukrainian businessman. He is currently President of DCH Group and, according to Ukrainian and East European mass-media, is one of the most influential people in Ukraine. In 2014, he was ranked by Forbes as the tenth richest person in the country.
In total, Yaroslavsky`s investment in Kharkiv in preparation for Euro 2012 was $300 million. In 2002-2006, Yaroslavsky was a People's deputy in the Ukrainian Parliament, representing the Party of Greens of Ukraine in the IV Convocation. He has since remained completely outside of Ukrainian politics. Despite this, research surveys of Kharkiv citizens show that most would like to see him as mayor of the city.
